As an author and inspirational speaker, Kagiso Keipopele’s main objective is to be a reservoir of motivation, inspiration and role model to the underprivileged youth and show them that it is possible for a black child to succeed in life. This message will find a residence in people’s life and charge them with empowerment to live an inspiring and a better life.
“I would like to make a positive impact and touch lives through my creative writing talent and promote the spirit of reading and writing amongst the youth, especially those who were born and bred in disadvantage rural areas like me,” says Kagiso.
He would like to see himself as a well-established and recognized national and international inspirational author, and to reach a broader audience through distributing his books all over the South Africa and abroad.
The 28-old-old was born and bred in Disaneng, which is 45km outside Mahikeng, and is already starting to make waves wherever he goes. He is a published author of two inspirational books – the current one is titled “Behind the ames” which was launched on 17 June 2017 at the Durban Manor Hotel and Conference Centre in Durban. The book is based on courage and the author explains how he used courage to stand up and move on after he was knocked out by the challenges of life. “My 1st book was titled “There is no Calling without Preparation” , which was published and realised in 2015.”
The book covers themes such as hope, faith and the power to chase your dreams regardless of the odds of life. “It explains the reason or the purpose of every challenge we encounter in life. The odds of life are not meant to keep us out of the game of life, but to prepare us for our purpose and assignment that we must full. “Kagiso is currently busy with a third self-development booklet titled “Progressive Hustler – Anything is Possible”, which is a pocket-sized inspirational booklet to all the hustlers, game changers, trendsetters and innovators who wish to progress in their hustle. His book was reviewed on Motsweding FM in 2012 in Benny Motaung and Lebo Leabilo’s show and since than he has being featured on radio stations such as Mmabatho FM, Ratlou FM and Bokoni Bophirima FM.
After completing his matric, all Kagiso wanted to do was to venture into a creative industry by studying Media Journalism, but due to nancial drawbacks he couldn’t full his dream. Even though his dream was smashed, that didn’t kill his talent of creative writing. Against all odds, he continues to write and today he is one of South Africa’s young published authors with a hope of penetrating the international book market one day.
Kagiso uses his creativity to change lives, motivate and inspire the young and the old dreamers and visionaries. The book provides ideas and information on how to maintain that dream and goals during the dark hours. Kagiso is also the founder and director of Kagiso Keipopele Creations (Pty) Ltd which is an Art Agency, which aims to be a key player in unleashing the potential of emerging writers and to become a gate of opportunities to those who want to publish their material and to become a centre stage of literary promotions. “We specialize in writers’ management, literary promotions and events management.”
