Isaac Molema, aka IzzyLefoko grew up in Matlosana in the dusty streets of Jouberton and was raised by a single mother, grandmother, uncle and older sister. He grew up with 10 siblings and there was no musician in the family until IzzyLefoko decided to do something about this. The name “Izzy” originates from his real name Isaac and describes the shape of his body and also how he makes it easy to rap. “Lefoko” originates from his style of music.

Mr. Chilanyana is a rapper, battle rapper, beat maker,  part time house DJ and a founder of the Under Dawgs Collective Chaos (UDCC) movement. The movement consists of more than 40 artists. He describes his style of rap as slim poetry which explains his flowing manner. IzzyLefoko forms part of a 3-member crew named Glitch Pros which consists of Cryptic Creed and Impervious.

Their first single was “Fell from grace” followed by “Gimme Some Time”. Mr. Chilanyana started rapping when he was 13 years old, but his love for hip hop started at an earlier age. His first single was “Mad Flow” followed by “Meat Meet Bone” in 2013. They were both produced by the founder and owner of Red Ant Production, All-Badd.

IzzyLefoko has worked with numerous artists such as  Dj Mavala Music, All-Badd, Ashleigh Omar, Black  Cheese Records, Butique, Caleb Walefatshe and Nastie
Bone, to mention a few. In 2014 he worked with the founders of We The Future (W.T.F) Entertainment which is where he released his EP called “Wheel of life”. This EP consists of 10 tracks such as Mad flow, The world is all yours, Working every day, Have you ever thought and Feeling so lonely, to mention a few.

Mr. Chilanyanra urges his fans to get themselves a copy of the EP as it will alter their view of life. He has performed around Maglera and Lichtenburg where he has gained a bigger following. In 2016 he released three singles titled Shumaye remix, Hype up, Soul traveller and Fake friends which were produced by Butique. These singles have been making waves on the stages that he has graced as well as amongst his followers.

IzzyLefoko also joined a movement of battle rappers called Push The Agenda rap battles (P.T.A). The rap battles have been posted on YouTube. He is motivated and is currently aiming higher than before. Mr. Chilanyana is currently working on his next mixtape called “Lyrically Entitled Fierce Obtain Knock Outs (L.E.F.O.K.O)” which will be released later in 2017. He will also be working with numerous artists across the province. IzzyLefoko’s latest single titled “Eyem still the same kid” is currently also currently making waves. He believes that 2017 is his year and is the year of the lyricist.
