Vincent Ocean
embraces the power of music

The founder of 3 uprising brands, LOCO247MEDIA, COVERDALE 247 and NEW AGE NATIVES CENTRAL from Coverdale in Bloemhof is a lad who frequently visits Matlosana, Bloemfontein and Gauteng to showcase his many talents. Not only is Vincent Lucky Horniet, aka “Sugar” and Vincent Ocean (stage name) an artist, producer, hip hop DJ, entrepreneur and selfmade graphic designer, but he is a dreamer, achiever and determined believer in the power of music.

Vincent was inspired by heavyweights such as Priddy Ugly, MDB, AKA and Twins on Decks, and has works alongside local artists such as Justin Math (Bloemfontein), Demolish Immxrtal (Mafikeng), Damon Hoorn (Mafikeng), Mr SEA, King Possible, VLYX, April Beats, Ozzy Y.K (Johannesburg), Cashfellas and The Burnadicts.

Vincent Ocean completely went AWOL with his drug addiction in Grade 10, only to meet new people the year that will change his life for the best, namely Tshegofatso Kgobe and Justin Meyer who became close friends as time went by. The 3 of them developed a 3-in-1 lucky package call NEW AGE NATIVES CENTRAL, providing nothing but quality. While Ocean was going through a difficult stage in his life, he started compiling words and creating beats, surrounding himself with everything and anything regarding music. “It was my escape,” says Vincent.

Known as Sugar in his kasi, he brings a sweet sound to the table. The Fresh Rapper is well-known in suburbs such as Wilkoppies in Klerkdorp right through to Bloemfontein and Brandwag. He is here to make sure that no racism prevails amongst coloured musicians, artists and the youth from the North West reach to make sure they reach their full potential in life, starting with his hometown in Bloemhof.

“I strongly believe in unity and I wish nothing but happiness and success to everybody who is reading this. I will make up for everything I have lost during 2016 and launching my first band, COVERDALE TWENTY-FOUR SEVEN is proof of this. It is a lifestyle and brand targeted at capturing the attention of the youth and uplifting our community,” proclaims Vincent. Slowly but surely, he started kicking off things as a sparkling new artist, evolving self-made graphic designer and entrepreneur to the South African business sector and music industry. #GodBlessMyLife.
